
Admission of eligible candidates to the Bachelor of Architecture program at Nitte Institute of Architecture (NIA) is based on their aptitude, passion for the program, and the willingness to work hard consistently. Candidate’s creative portfolio review and a personal interview will be part of the assessment for admission.
Candidate must have passed the 10+2 Examination with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and also 50% marks in aggregate OR a candidate must have passed a 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

In addition to the above, the candidate needs to qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture OR the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Paper II for Architecture conducted by the competent authority of the Central Government, OR any other test made equivalent to these by the Council of Architecture or competent authority.

*The Creative Portfolio for the admission process should be A4 size and between 5 to 10 pages. A Creative Portfolio is a collection of original creative works showcasing a candidate’s creativity, practical abilities and/or design and thinking skills. It could include paintings, sketches, photographs, writing samples, certificates for classes and workshops attended, or for participation in creative competitions.
Prospective Candidates will be required to appear for an interview that will be used to assess the candidate’s preparedness for taking up the five-year architecture course. Candidates should come for the session with their parents or guardian.
Pre-Admission: Candidates who are selected for admission can opt for pre-admission to the course on payment of Rs. 1,50,500 by cheque. Final admission to NIA is subject to the candidate meeting the minimum Eligibility Criteria specified above. The pre-admission fee will be counted towards the final admission fee for the candidate.
Selected candidates should submit the documents listed below along with the prescribed fee as noted in www.nitte.edu.in/fee-structure.php by DD favouring Nitte Deemed to be University payable at Mangaluru by June 15, 2019 to complete the admission process.
