A keen visionary, he has networked with organizations in India, u.s. and Indonesia to bring about positive change in policy and grass-root public participation using research, design charettes, walkathons and community meetings. With over 25 years of experience he founded an architectural firm that successfully completed over 100 projects.
Being a researcher on energy conservation at the building research council at the university of Illinois, and leed technical development at the U.S. Green building council (usgbc) in Washington DC, he led development of technical standards that pushed industry to new solutions on climate change while coordinating the work of volunteers that included scientists, industry and academic experts.
As professor at Manipal University he was the faculty resource for energy and sustainability courses. He has held active positions with professional bodies such as Indian institute of architects (IIA) and architects guild; was member of the American planning association (APA), associate member of the American institute of architects (AIA), and ace mentorship program of north America.
He holds dual masters’ degrees in architecture and urban planning from the university of Illinois at Urbana-champaign (usa), a certificate in business administration (UIUC), and leed accreditation from usgbc.
