Pottery / Clay

pottery workshopThe learning process of this workshop was more experiential than theoretical where the students started softening the clay by stamping with their feet, which they had fun in accomplishing. Then they continued with the wheel, where they molded the clay to give it a shape such as a pot, vase, plate or even the smallest diya. They also learnt some magic tricks and the science behind it as well, like the magic pot in which water once filled, doesn’t pour out when you try to. Now how does one do it is a secret that they will explore only by involving oneself in pottery class. Both the teachers who taught wheel work and detailed pottery were very patient with the students at every step of the making process. Overall, it was a great learning and an enjoyable experience.
